When you are miles from the nearest road, experience really pays off. Dave is the most experienced fishing guide operating on the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge.
Dave has been a professional outdoorsmen on Kodiak Island for the past twenty years. He holds a commercial pilots license and has logged thousands of hours of bush flight time in Alaska. He also holds a U.S. Coast Guard license to carry passengers in vessels up to 100 tons. Dave has what it takes to make a remote Alaskan trip safe and successful.

  Shawn Finn

Shawn has been an amateur outdoorsman on Kodiak Island for the past twenty years. His "real Job" is welding and metal fabrication. Shawn's experience in welding and fabrication has played an intricate part in the construction and modification of AlpenView's buildings and equipment. Shawn began part time professional guiding for Dave Jones in 1996. In 1998, Shawn and Dave started AlpenView Wilderness Lodge, Inc. and Shawn has played a major roll in AlpenView's guiding operations ever since.
