Our Kodiak Island lodge has a guest capacity of 8 with our 4 guest rooms and 4 full baths. The lodge great room offers a captivating view of Ugak Bay and the surrounding mountains. It incorporates the dining area, living area and fly tying bench. Meals are prepared in our large commercial kitchen and served in the dining area. AlpenView’s menu proudly reflects our location in one of the world’s seafood capitals. A healthy mix of seafood, meat, and foul are prepared with an international flair.

AlpenView Wilderness Lodge and Out Camp provides amazing access to endless World-Class Kodiak sport fishing opportunities in Alaska. Presenting a dry fly to a twelve-inch rainbow, reeling in a large halibut, and ferocity of the salmon strike as they pass through our waterways. Halibut are available throughout the season and accessed by boat departing from our fishing lodge. The average halibut is 40 pounds and can go well over 200 pounds. Anglers may also catch ling cod, gray cod, and black rock fish. Freshwater fishing for king salmon in Kodiak is best in June and July. Fishing for kings is accessed by boat out of the lodge, by visiting the out camp or by fly- out. Kings average 25 pounds and can go well over 40 pounds.
